Because we live so far away, my best friends from college and I like to plan little getaways a couple times a year. With a lot of hectic schedules, already made arrangements, and uncertainty, we had some difficulty this summer/early fall aligning our schedules so that the three of us could be together all at once. This year, we tried something new. We decided to wait until things settled down, and instead of visiting just one of our houses, we decided to explore somewhere new. Our location? Deep Creek, Maryland. This was an ideal place to get away! We rented a cozy and adorable cabin, watched movies and drank wine, indulged in the spa treatment with pedicures and massages, and hiked along the Swallow Falls waterfalls. The area was truly beautiful! We went during an odd time of year--which was perfect for us because we are more than enough entertainment for ourselves--but the area has even more to offer during the summer and winter seasons. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the weekend. |
