For a season revolving around death, it sure is a beautiful one. From the crisp air, the crunch of the leaves, and the overwhelming need for hot coffee, fall is my absolute favorite time of year. Pennsylvania weather proves quite unpredictable, so while we are only just entering the autumn season, there's no guarentee how long it will last. I saw that the leaves had a splash of color, so I jumped on the chance to record it while I could. What I love most about these pictures is that they perfectly encompass the change from summer to fall, with neither season holding the greater advantage. While the leaves have begun changing into a burnt orange color, the original kelly green of the leaf is still prominent. While so much around them is dying, flowers can still be viewed in full bloom. Pennsylvania is currently straddling the line of change, and my guess is that within the next week, the oranges, reds, and yellow's of autumn will be in full swing. Enjoy the green while it lasts, PA. | |

Maybe it is the fact that fall is in full swing, or maybe I just love the blazing, fiery color, but there are very few things I like photographing more than a brilliant sky. The particular evening in these photos was one of the more unique sky combinations I had seen. I was busy pretty much the entire night, but I kept stealing glances at the sunset outside, dying to go out and capture it. It began as a hazy pink, with spots of orange and purple. By the time I actually made it outside, I was almost too late. As you can see, everything besides the horizon is covered in shadow, but doesn't even matter. The sky, despite the fact that the unique pink I saw earlier had transformed into a rich magenta and bold reds, proved to be the real show stealer.
I took these pictures about a month ago, but I'm finally able to post some! Gabby and Jared are two of my best friends, and they recently found out they were having a little bundle of joy. These pictures were taken so that Gabby and Jared could announce their news to the world after Gabby's first trimester doctor appointment. I'm so glad that this news is no longer a secret and can be celebrated. They are going to be GREAT parents! Congratulations again, Gabby and Jared!
It is hard to choose just a few to share in this blog entry because all of them turned out so good. However, since this is the first time I've done maternity photos, all of the pictures (at this time) can be found in the maternity gallery. Enjoy! |
